Letitia Cullens-Proctor MA, LPC, LCPC, CCMHC

Hi! My name is Letitia (luh-tisha) and I’m the owner of Lakeview Healing, LLC a Colorado and Illinois telehealth private practice. This practice was created to support neurodivergent adults, those navigating “later-in-life” realizations, chronic illness and disability, and the deep work of healing from complex trauma. While I deeply value continuing education, consultation, and skill-building, what allows me to show up most fully for my clients is bringing my lived, authentic experience into the room.

From an early age, I encountered barriers that shaped how I move through the world and how I’ve learned to care for myself. Navigating these challenges has taught me the value of self-compassion, persistence, and honoring the unique ways our brains and bodies work. These lived experiences influence my approach and deepen my connection with clients who are also seeking understanding and healing.

You might notice that my hair changes color from green to pink to purple and most recently multicolored. It’s one of the ways I express myself and show up in the therapy room as a full, human being. Therapy with me is grounded in ethical care and evidence-based practice, but also in real connection. You don’t have to mask or leave parts of yourself at the door and neither will I.

Outside the therapy office, you’ll usually find me outdoors—exploring vast forests, the Great Lakes, or mountain ranges with my camera, my partner, and our rescue dog, Hadley, (who often makes a cameo in sessions as my unofficial co-therapist). When I can’t be outdoors, I turn to creative hobbies like embroidery, cooking, and baking or watching documentaries. Honestly, there aren’t many hobbies I haven’t tried, or at least watched too many YouTube videos about, and if we work together, I’d love to hear about yours.

Therapeutic Style and Approach

I use a variety of approaches which are determined by appropriateness, best fit, and clients’ interest. Many successful treatment plans will utilize a foundation of person-centered, psychodynamic, and somatic therapy then quickly move toward a tailored treatment plan and approach that includes tools to help sustain the growth. Many of my clients have benefited from incorporating EMDR and psychedelic assisted therapy (KAP).

Regardless of theory or techniques clients will always be met with trauma-informed care, compassion, and collaboration and flexibility. An important aspect of healing is autonomy and ensuring clients are able to have a place to feel heard. While I may be curious and offer suggestions, my style is does not include excessively challenge clients as it is my belief, through years of training and experience, that if force is needed a person is not ready. My  purpose is to support clients as they are navigating barriers that make it hard to show up fully in their lives, relationships, or work.

If a humorous, collaborative environment sounds like it might be a good fit or if you’re interested in trying a newer modality like EMDR or KAP contact me for a free consultation.

“Waiting doesn’t get you anywhere

You don’t need a perfect plan.

What you really need is momentum.

Act on the idea.

Keep taking small steps.

Adapt as you learn.

Courage will get you there.”
