About
Letitia Cullens-Proctor MA, LPC, CCMHC
I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Letitia (luh-tisha) and I’m the owner of Lakeview Healing, LLC a Colorado telehealth. This practice was created to support neurodivergent adults, those navigating “later-in-life” realizations, chronic illness and disability, and the deep work of healing from complex trauma. While I deeply value continuing education, consultation, and skill-building, what allows me to show up most fully for my clients is bringing my lived, authentic experience into the room.
Growing up, I faced barriers early on—diagnosed with ADHD and a math learning disability in grade school, and later navigating the challenges of being a first-generation college student. I live with multiple invisible illnesses and autoimmune disorders, including chronic migraines and Celiac Disease, and was only recently diagnosed with Autism—an identity long overlooked due to outdated diagnostic frameworks and the bias faced by multiply neurodivergent individuals, especially women.
With the support of a few incredible therapists, my partner, community, and through a long journey of learning how to care for my body with more compassion, I’ve built a life I’m proud of—one where I get to walk alongside others doing the same.
You might notice that my hair changes color—it’s been green, pink, and most recently red. It’s one of the ways I express myself and show up in the therapy room as a full, human being. Therapy with me is grounded in ethical care and evidence-based practice, but also in real connection. You don’t have to mask or leave parts of yourself at the door—and neither will I.
Outside the therapy office, you’ll usually find me outdoors—exploring vast forests, the Great Lakes, or mountain ranges with my camera, my partner, and our rescue dog, Hadley, (who often makes a cameo in sessions as my unofficial co-therapist). When I can’t be outdoors, I turn to creative hobbies like embroidery, cooking, baking, or watching documentaries. I’m currently re-learning the clarinet but honestly, there aren’t many hobbies I haven’t tried—or at least watched too many YouTube videos about. If we work together, I’d love to hear about yours.
Therapeutic Style and Approach
I use a variety of approaches which are determined by appropriateness, best fit, and clients’ interest. Many successful treatment plans will utilize a foundation of person-centered, psychodynamic, and somatic therapy then quickly move toward a tailored treatment plan and approach that includes tools to help sustain the growth. Many of my clients have benefited from incorporated EMDR and ketamine therapy (KAP).
Regardless of theory or techniques clients will always be met with compassion and collaboration and flexibility. An important aspect of healing is autonomy and ensuring clients are able to feel heard, express their needs, and have those needs met. While I may be curious and offer suggestions, my style is to not push or force or excessively challenge clients as it is my belief, through years of training and experience, that if force is needed a person is not ready. My “goal” is to help clients accomplish their therapeutic goals with sustainable changes.
If a humorous, collaborative environment sounds like it might be a good fit or if you’re interested in trying a newer modality like EMDR or KAP contact me for a free consultation. Even if you’re struggle with specifically knowing what your goals are but you know you need a change, bring that curiosity in and we will explore it together!
“Waiting doesn’t get you anywhere.
You don’t need a perfect plan.
What you really need is momentum.
Act on the idea.
Keep taking small steps.
Adapt as you learn.
Courage will get you there.”
